Prologue

The night air was cool and misty. A low fog hovered above the ground from the rainstorm that had just ended; cooling the blistering heat the sun had created during the day. The full moon was out, illuminating the sky. A soft, glowing aura surrounded it, making it seem almost mystical.

A raven-haired boy ran down the wet street, running as fast as his tiny legs could carry him. He huffed and puffed, trying to catch his breath without stopping. Tears streamed from his dark onyx eyes, dripping from his chin and falling onto his chest.
I must be having a nightmare, he kept thinking to himself. This can't be real. This can't be happening…

Suddenly the boy missed a step and he began to fall. He put his hands out to break his fall, and landed hard on them. He felt them get scraped up as his wrist bent back a little too far into a very painful position. He yelped out in pain and laid on the wet ground, curling up into a ball. Sobs consumed his body before he could stop them, and he began to shake as hot tears flooded down his cheeks.

I have to keep running. I can't stop here.

But he did not have the will to move his legs. He couldn't get the image out of his head. Both his parents, laying there on the living room floor, in a pool of blood. The blood had been so thick, it almost looked like someone had dumped a strange kind of pudding all over. It had been splattered all over the walls and even on the ceiling. All he could do was stand there in shock, being unable to believe his eyes.

"Sasuke, run!" his brother had said. "RUN!"

He stood there frozen, his eyes widened with horror.

His brother was covered in blood.

"Run, Sasuke! The murderer is still here!"

Why would his older brother be covered in blood like that? Unless he was the… No! That can't be true!

…Could it?

The boy hardly noticed as dark storm clouds covered the sky again, and heavy rain began to pelt him. He still could not move. He didn't want to. He hoped a truck would come by and run him over; crushing his fragile skull beneath the big, bulky wheels. Then he could join his parents up in heaven.

He'd never see his mother's gentle smile again, or feel her comforting, warm embraces. He'd never smell her sweet, fragrant perfume or hear her musical laugh again. He'd never hear his father's deep voice giving him words of wisdom, or feel his big, rough hand scrunching up his hair as he walked by. He'd never hear his big heavy footsteps walk through the doorway after a long day of work, or be able to run up to him as soon as he heard him and receive a big bear hug.

He'd never be with them again.

A sudden noise broke him out of his train of thought. He listened for a moment, and heard it again. It was barking.

He turned his head to find where the source was, when suddenly he felt a wet tongue sliding up against his cheek. He looked up and saw the dark figure of a dog standing above him, panting heavily and dripping saliva onto his face. It looked like a Labrador mix of some kind.

"Brownie, I told you not to run off like that," a girl shouted.

The dog barked again and then ran off. A moment later a bright light shined in his face. He put his hand up, trying to shield his eyes from the sudden brightness.

The girl gasped, and her eyes grew wide. The boy could see her bright, emerald green eyes and her strange pink hair, but couldn't quite make out her facial features. She looked frightened at first, but then her expression changed into concern. He tried to stay focused on her face, but his vision started to blur.

"Momma," she shouted, not tearing her eyes away from the boy. "There's a strange boy laying in the road over here! I think he's hurt!"

He kept trying to focus his eyes, but the harder he tried, the worse his vision became. After a few moments, his vision became dark as he lost consciousness.
Edit: I changed the title of my story. It used to be known as "For You Only".

Here's a new story I started to write. I got the idea while I was at work for 8 1/2 hours yesterday... NOT fun. :iconcryingplz:

But, who would have thought that standing behind a counter doing nothing all day would inspire me to write?! I think that's the only reason I'm grateful I worked so long yesterday (besides the money obviously).

Here's chapter one!!! ----> [link]

Aw, cute idea! The descriptions are really good- I just want to cuddle little Sasuke!

If you want constructive citicism, I'd just say that you might want to make sure your verb tenses stay constant, either past or present. You go from "He still could not move" to "he'll never see his mother's gentle smile again". Other than that, it's really good! :D
